new york notebooks

In New York I bought some really cool notebooks. From MUJI some brown simple notebooks: really cheap and great paper for sketching. A really cool store. 

And the best catch in a small giftshop: a little black book with pencil that and they are waterresistant! You  can write in the rain, pool, shower etc. Can't wait to try it!

Favorite Hortense & Figs photocanvas

This is one of my favourite pictures I made. It's now a canvas of about 1.20 m and every morning it's one of the first things I see. I teally love the turquise colors that it has, and the dramatic shadows.

Paesens Moddergat in Seasons Magazine

Vandaag zaten we gezellig (ff snel) de Seasons door te kijken, mooiste plekjes of zo. Staat daar zomaar Paesens Moddergat tussen. Het klopt, de plek heeft echt erg mooi licht en achter de dijk is het licht altijd anders. Alleen hebben zij bij het artikel een foto geplaatst van een schelp op een zandstrand...haha, zeker nog nooit in Paesens geweest; het is prachtig maar een zandstrand zul je daar aan het wad niet vinden. Wel twee pieren, schapen, zwarte blub en mooie kweldertjes, daar waar men ooit van plan was land aan te winnen. 


Onderstaande foto is in het pinksterweekend genomen, en de zee zag er zelfs turquois uit die avond. Alleen was de scholekster niet zo blij dat ik iets te dicht bij zijn nest kwam. En voerde 'ie een paar aanvalsvluchten uit. Gelukkig voor mij op veilige afstand.

More New York...

The fisherman at the pier were fishing for their meals, while we were partying at a 15 meters distance. They were very nice, and didn't mind that I took pictures of them. We talked very briefly. The one on the right was acting to catch a bigggg fish.
